Husband, Father, Missionary, Servant
Hello. My name is Jason Mann. I would like to take just a few minutes to share with you who I am and whom the Lord has called me to help reach with the gospel.
I am currently 43 years old, and my wife Senja and I have been married for 21 years, coming this February. The Lord has blessed us with three children: Micah, Laura, and Heidi. The oldest two are currently preparing to serve the Lord at Pensacola Christian College, and we couldn't be more thankful and proud of who they have become. Our youngest is still at home enjoying homeschooling, and being the only child, is left to look after the two 2 dogs we gained while serving in Hungary.
My Ministry Background
I was saved at the age of 5 under the preaching of John Saxton at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Groton, CT. In the 5th grade, I was first called into ministry. I knew at this young age that the Lord desired my life to be devoted to serving in ministry. Around the time I became engaged to and later married Senja, I began working in the construction business building houses. I have held numerous managerial positions in retail and call centers and have built and managed several small businesses. While these experiences have brought professional success, I would also like to highlight my spiritual journey serving the Lord through the local church.
I have had the privilege of participating in various ministries, including:
Leading and starting many in-home Bible studies
Nursing home ministry
Awana
Master Clubs
Door-to-door soul winning
Choir
Janitorial
Bus ministry
Media ministry
Tract publication
And, of course, preaching
My Education
Beyond the local church and local pastoral mentoring, my education includes:
Grace Baptist Bible Institute of Middletown, Ohio - Associates of Ministry
Slidell Baptist College of Slidell, LA - ThD
Baptist Bible Translators Institute, Bowie, TX - Advanced Missions Training and Linguistics
Through my time in the local church and 13 years of Bible college, I have been deeply grounded in the Baptist foundation of faith. I firmly believe in the historical and preserved nature of the KJV Bible for the English-speaking world. I hold dear the fundamental foundational faiths it teaches as Baptist doctrine.
These include Biblical Inerrancy, Salvation through faith alone, Separation from the world, Local church authority and autonomy, traditional hymns that praise the Lord in message, meaning, and method, baptism through immersion as the first step for new believers, and life-on-life mentorship, encouragement, and discipleship.
Missionary Work
As a family, we have been serving the Lord together for over 20 years. In 2016, we moved to Hungary to proclaim the gospel to the people there. Our efforts included hosting teams, distributing over 500,000 gospel pamphlets and copies of John and Romans, working with nationals in church planting, and aiding churches. We even had the privilege of rebuilding a church building for more effective gospel outreach, thanks to the talents the Lord has given me.
In mid-2019, while in serving in Szombathely, Hungary, the Lord laid on my heart to step back and see the greater need beyond Hungary. My wife and I began making short videos highlighting the gospel's need in towns and cities in Hungary and Croatia, working with our good friend, Brad Lowrie. This desire to raise awareness led me to start Reaching Europe Ministries.
Reaching Europe Ministries
Our desire with Reaching Europe Ministries is simple- to see more:
More laborers working the fields of Europe
More encouragement for missionaries
More information shared with local churches
More souls saved through gospel distribution
And so much more!
Current Mission
Currently, my wife Senja, and I are on deputation, led by the Lord to bring the gospel to North Macedonia. It's a country with not ONE Independent Fundamental Baptist Bible-following preacher and two million souls in great need.
It was around October of 2019 that the Lord began to work on my heart to the great need of the Gospel, not only in Hungary, but all throughout Europe. I began questioning the missionaries that I knew and realized just how great of a void there was of active working missionaries on this continent. I researched and found countries with only a few workers, cities of millions with no workers, and so on. I asked the Lord, "What can I do to help?" It was about this time, through the reading of God's Word and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, that events and people came into my path that would change my ministry's focus. God is working in Europe, but He works through His Word and His people.
The problem is, His people are not going.
Reaching Europe was born from the need for workers in Europe to share the great news of Jesus with the millions of untold Europeans. Europe is a place of extreme beauty: the landscapes, the mountains and valleys, the rich sea coasts, and so much more. The people are people still worn from the history of past dictators and communism. Today, there is an anti-god attitude towards religion as a whole. While Europeans are hard to reach with the Gospel, it is the Gospel that will save them and give them eternal hope. Please pray for workers to surrender their lives for two weeks, two years or two decades to the cause of Reaching Europe.
We are currently raising funds to go to North Macedonia to plant churches where there are none.
